$18 Million Intel Capital Investment in 5 Indian Companies
Intel Capital has invested $18 million in Indian companies 5 different Indian companies. Funding for the investments announced by Intel Capital comes from USD 250mn Intel Capital India Technology Fund established in December 2005.
- Out of this 2 Indian companies are new deals and 3 are follow-on investments.
- New investments include PolicyBazaar (online insurance comparison service) and Sudhir Srivastava Robotic Surgery Centre (SSARC), a provider of advanced robotic surgery procedures for specialty areas such as cardia, urology, thoracic, gynecology etc.
- Intel Capital has announced follow-on investments in July Systems, Yatra.com and WSO2 (an open source development company).
