According to a study conducted by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India’s (Assocham) Social Development Foundation (ASDF), about 35 per cent of corporate men in the country go online for business- and job-related purposes, whereas only 2 per cent of the female employees use the internet to hunt for a job.

The study further reveals that corporate women in India spend most of their online time chatting with friends, mainly on social networking sites as 93 per cent of the female respondents said they use the internet as a place to have ‘fun’ and interact with friends. Less than 71 per cent of the country’s male employees are reportedly ‘guilty’ of this.
